The Institute for Experimental Arts presents fifteen contemporary poets for a spoken word LIVE marking the closing night of the 18th International Deleuze and Guattari Studies Conference.
After three days of conversations, lectures and encounters, the conference gathers in the gardens of Panteion University and the exploration continues through poetry. Voices from different backgrounds and poetic practices come together in a shared space and poetry opens a path through memory, desire, political imagination and everyday life.
Poets from Athens Spoken Word scene perform in English and manifest the urgencies, fears and hopes of our times, producing a space of international dialogue.
The conference theme, Transversality: Ethics and Politics, invites reflection on the ways thought moves across disciplines, practices and forms of collective experience.
Poetry from the 21st Century contributes perspectives on the ethical, political and existential questions of the present, revealing poetry as a living practice of experimentation, relation and public expression. The event celebrates spoken word as a contemporary artistic practice and invites the international community of the conference and the Athenian public to share LIVE experience.
